Magellan's RoadMate 700 comes ready to go right out of the box - no need to download anything! Its 10GB hard drive contains all major city streets, plus federal, state and county roads and highways for the continental U.S. and most of Canada. Its WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System) receives signals from 12 satellites to pinpoint your position to within three meters. This is the same way-finding technology in the Hertz NeverLostr system - road-tested by four million out-of-town drivers nationwide!
With its turn-by-turn guidance, the TrueViewr 3D screen shows an upcoming turn while a voice prompt clearly and politely conveys the information. Its high-resolution, touch-screen LCD adjusts to surrounding light so it's always clear. Select your route by shortest time, shortest distance, fewest freeways or mostly freeway. Auto Re-Route automatically determines the best new route if you miss a turnoff or choose a different way.
The database includes two million points of interest; search for nearby gas stations, restaurants, hotels, ATMs and more. It plugs into the dash and you don't need an external antenna; its built-in antenna does the job. Plugs into the DC power socket. Measures 6 1/2" x 1 3/4" x 3 1/4" and weighs only 14 1/2 oz.
