The DCR-PC55 Mini DV Handycam® camcorder features its own docking station for quick and easy connections to a TV for viewing or to a PC for editing and sharing video. Features a 10x optical zoom, a generous 3" SwivelScreen™ touchscreen LCD and a professional-quality Carl Zeiss® Vario-Tessar® lens. For exceptional digital video (up to 500 lines of resolution) and still image performance, the 1/6" Advanced HAD™ (Hole Accumulation Diode) CCD imager with 340K effective video pixels provides excellent detail and clarity, and great looking digital still images.
The Hybrid LCD screen provides clear viewing even in sunlight, virtually eliminating the "wash-out" common with traditional LCD screens. For smoothness without degradation of video, Sony's super SteadyShot Picture Stabilization System controls an even higher range of shake and vibration frequencies. The USB interface lets you share video with family and friends over the Internet.
Includes remote control, audio cable, lens cap, shoulder strap, USB cable and CD ROM software. Measures 1 3/16" x 4" x 2 7/8" and weighs just 10 oz. Powered by included 3-hour lithium ion rechargeable battery or included AC adapter. An extra 3-hour battery is available (SY179, order separately). Available two-pack of mini DV tape cassettes each store 60 minutes of video (90 minutes in LP) or up to 5,000 stills (SY175, order separately). One-year parts and 90-day labor warranties.
