Amtico Vinyl Flooring
Amtico has a long and complex history – much too complex to address in this article. But to provide a brief overview, Amtico is a brand name once owned by the American Biltrite Corporation. Founded in 1908, American Biltrite Corporation’s flooring products were produced by a subsidiary called The American Tile Company. The brand name, “Amtico,” is simply an acronym created by combining the first two letters of each word in American Tile Company.

Ironically, Amtico is now a British-owned firm headquartered in London. They do manufacturer quality flooring, and their products are very popular in European markets. Available in a nice array of designs, colors and textures, Amtico offers mixing and matching of designs for a personal touch.

Of course, as with any top selling, brand name, luxury item, you can expect to pay premium prices. Although there is nothing unusual about that, it is unusual that Amtico is currently available only through retail outlets. With Internet sales of all types of products growing stronger everyday, it seems odd that Amtico hasn’t made their products as accessible to consumers as their competition has.

Toli Vinyl Flooring
Another top selling brand of luxury vinyl flooring is Toli. Comparable in quality to Amtico, Toli is an excellent online-available alternative for the modern e-shopper.

Toli offers an extensive selection of wood, stone, marble and other designs in tiles, planks and sheets. They also offer unlimited custom designs for those who wish to display a logo, graphic or a unique border.

In addition to online availability, Toli flooring has other attractive benefits. Certainly one of the most important to consumers with a limited budget is cost. Since Toli flooring products are available through online distributors, their overhead is less, which results in substantial savings for the consumer. Equally important is Toli’s warranty. Since all Toli vinyl flooring is manufactured for high-traffic business applications, they are backed by a strong 10-year commercial warranty.

Summary
Amtico and Toli are comparable, top-of-the-line, brands of luxury vinyl flooring. However, deciding which brand to purchase may simply be a matter of shopping preferences. Some people may not mind the traffic and parking hassles to visit a showroom and deal with salespeople, and they may not be concerned with cost. Others may prefer the convenience of shopping from the comfort of home, especially if time and money are important factors. With continually rising energy and housing costs, it seems logical that more and more people would prefer the latter.
