This extraordinary archival photo captures the courageous paratroopers of the 101st Airborne Division, known as the Screaming Eagles, in mid-jump over Zon, Holland, on September 17, 1944. Decades later, Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks memorialized this "band of brothers" in film. Each photograph is signed by E Company's Sgt. "Wild" Bill Guarnere, recipient of 2 Purple Hearts, 2 Bronze Stars, and 2 Combat Stars, a Silver Star, and the Presidential Unit Citation. Comes with story card and certificate of authenticity. 9" x 11".
