The national network of TreeGiver professional arborists, foresters, nurserymen and volunteers were busy planting this season, with over 4,000 seedlings in PA alone! The first group that they contracted with in 1981, NH's own Daniel Webster Boy Scout Council, was at it again this spring, planting tree seedlings in southern New Hampshire.

Their newest affiliated partner is Four Seasons Tree Care (http://www.4seasonstree.com/) of WA State. Four Seasons President Scott Selby knows the value of trees that his company sometimes has to remove. With this in mind he started an affiliation with TreeGivers to have a tree planted on public land in WA for each tree his company had to remove. "This is a great partnership. Scott is a forward thinker and is very much in tune with the environment," stated Pearson, President of TreeGivers.

Merrill Lynch had a unique way to recognize the accomplishment of each of their sponsored INC Magazine Top 100 Inner City Corporations. They presented each award winner with a personalized, matted framed TreeGivers Certificate of Planting, representing a young seedling to be planted in their respective state during the next planting season. This environmentally sound gift was well received by the award winners and demonstrated Merrill Lynch's commitment to supporting Inner City businesses and the environment.
