Toronto's 2003 SARS crisis dramatized

Plague City, airing Sunday night as part of CTV's Signature series of real-life Canadian dramas, begins like a Hollywood science fiction thriller.

"I know that (director) David Wu felt it was essential to really hook people in because we kinda know what happened," explains Kari Matchett, who plays the lead character Amy, a dedicated head nurse and composite of several real-life people who were on the front lines of the fight to contain the crisis.
