Toroflux - A different sort of flux capacitor

November 19, 2005 11:12 AM EST | Toys | Email to Friend

This unique toy provides old-fashioned fun and modernist style all at the same time. One day, German art designer and inventor Jochen Valett was playing with slinkies that, as slinkies often do, became knotted. He became fascinated by the shapes that could be created, and set out to create a toy out of piston rings that utilized this amazing feature that he had discovered. Playing around, he set tangled piston rings along a multi-colored tube and saw the sensational "running soap bubble" effect it created as it traveled along the tube. Soon, he was producing these toys, the only ones of their kind in the world, for all to enjoy. And now you can enjoy them, too! Made in Germany.
