What We Know: Porsche will augment its 911 lineup with this new all wheel drive model this fall. Almost all the important specs are identical to the standard Carrera coupe, but one look at the photos and you can see one prominent difference between the two. Like previous C4s, the 2006 model wears wider rear quarters that cover larger wheels and tires. The standard Carrera 4 gets 295/35ZR18 rear tires while the C4S gets massive 305/3ZR19s in back. Porsche claims 0-to-60 times of 4.9 and 4.6 respectively for the two new models. Although not announced yet, Porsche is also working on a new GT3 version of the 911. It's rumored that the GT3 will be powered by a 3.8-liter engine with an output somewhere in the 400-horsepower range. Porsche will also make a Cup Race version available. Expect to see the GT3 make its debut at this year's Frankfurt auto show in September.
